About Emerald-Acres

9002

Our farm has been a labor of love. We purchased our farm in June of 2001 but did not move in until Nov. of that year due to all of the work that needed to be done to the house and grounds just to be able to move ourselves and our horses to the farm. We have been constantly working on our place and now have it "close" to what we envisioned.

Fred has been involved with Morgan horses for approximately 20 years on the western side of the state of Michigan. He trains our horses and does all of our farrier work. Joyce is the "lover" of our horses and helps with the chores and spoils the babies.

It has been a dream of both of us to have a "farm" and raise horses. We have recently added a black stallion, and a palomino mare to our herd and our wish is to breed colorful Morgan's along with the beautiful chestnuts and bays that we currently raise. We love the friendly, "want to please" disposition of the Morgan horse along with the beautiful looks and wonderful history of the first American breed of horse.
